This 4-day Newfoundland festival offers experiential digital arts workshops from digital leaders combined with music, food, and entertainment. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the festival has a hybrid format where some activities are offered virtually.

Art at the Gate is a visual art festival being held in scenic Twillingate.
The festival includes an exhibition, workshops, plein air painting/competition and many other exciting events. Join the experience with artists such as Jean Claude Roy, Clifford George and Adam Young.
Twillingate, with its wild coastal beauty, enticing peacefulness and welcoming people, has become known as a place of inspiration for many artists. As a result, it is now home to one of Newfoundland and Labrador’s newest visual art festivals, ‘Art at the Gate’.
Art at the Gate is a non profit event that will explore and showcase the work of thirty accomplished NL artists and will include a full schedule of artist-led adult/children’s workshops, plein air (outdoor) painting, studio tours, pop up painting parties, social events and a new addition this year, a plein air painting competition. Highlighting this event is an exhibition of the art work of talented artists such as J C Roy, Cliff George, Scott Goudie, Louise Colbourne Andrews, Dave Hoddinott, Adam Young, Angela Hardy and many more.
Art at the Gate has something for everyone. Whether you are curious and wish to learn more about art, an experienced artist or if the image of walking along the craggy shoreline at sunset and seeing the silhouette of an artist at work intrigues you, then you are welcome to Art at the Gate!

The annual Fish, Fun & Folk Festival is one of the largest and longest running folk festivals in the Province of Newfoundland. The Festival is proud of its now world-wide recognition and success as a family-oriented Festival celebrating the culture of Newfoundland.
The charming oceanside town of Twillingate is known worldwide for its food, entertainment, scenery, activities and most importantly – its people. Every summer during July we throw our doors open to the world and invite them to join us for the Fish Fun and Folk Festival. We hope you’ll be joining us this year, and we guarantee you’ll have one of the best weeks of your life!
The festival’s celebrations start with a parade through town followed by traditional Newfoundland music, fireworks, adult dances, a street dance, bonfire, a craft fair, games, a variety of fish meals, special church services, a children’s show and much more. It is one of the largest and longest running folk festivals in Newfoundland.

The Herring Neck Dory Festival is an annual grassroots festival based in Herring Neck, NL. Its community-based approach helps to showcase some of Newfoundland's greatest traditions with a modern integration, while highlighting historical landmarks in the area. From Kitchen Parties to Rowing Races and everything in between, the Dory Festival has fun for the whole family to enjoy.
