Light Painting Workshop

  • 22 Sep 2015
  • Fog Horn House, Long Point Lighthouse

Light painting, or light drawing, is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph, either to illuminate a subject or to shine a point of light directly at the camera.

Light painting can also describe works where the camera itself is moved during exposure.

Spend the afternoon with an introduction to light painting and have a little practice. No previous experience is required.

The evening session will be spent "in the field" putting into practice what you learnt during the afternoon.

Afternoon session: 2 - pm to 4 pm.

Evening session: 7:30 - 9:30 pm  Weather conditions will determine where the evening session will take place.

Learn from photographers Terrance Hounsell and John Elliott who have mastered the technique!

Cost: $35 (includes both the afternoon and evening sessions) Book now
